In Like a Lion and Out Like a Lamb?

Do you automatically think of that saying when March rolls around? It's quite optimistic  

So here is my back yard being attacked by the "Lion" hope the "Lamb" isn't too far off... 

 I made a couple of St. Patrick's day jewelries. I made two of the bracelets and sold one already. I wouldn't really mind keeping the other one for myself.  Don't forget to wear some green :)

Coeur d'Alene Resort

I spent last weekend luxuriating at the Coeur d'Alene resort. These pictures were the view I had all weekend long out the giant picture windows in my room. It was so lovely, I spent more time just relaxing in the room than anything else. It was hazy and drizzly and not very nice "being outside" kind of weather but it sure didn't hurt the view :) Also had some delicious meals and wonderful companionship. Came home refreshed, renewed , happy and inspired to create. This is just the first of many new pieces to come -

Time Flies When You're Having Fun :)

December and January seemed to just fly by. I do love all the bustle and fun of the holiday season but isn't it nice to slow back down? I've added a few new pieces to the shop for Valentine's day.

December is Upon Us

It's December already! Time sure flies. A look out the window confirms that it is indeed winter.

I've gotten some new gems and having a lot of fun making up some new wintry jewelry. Here's one of them using some gorgeous Labradorite and tiny Garnets and lustrous Freshwater Coin Pearls. I think it's a wonderful combination. Especially set off with the beautiful warm black antiqued brass chain.

Frost On The Pumpkin

It's November. Late Fall. It's getting colder. Winter is definitely on it's way. We actually got some snow on Friday. Not the pretty kind of snow, just wet and cold.  I always have a hard time letting go of summer. I'm one of the last ones to give up on wearing shorts and putting away the flip flops.  I hate to have to wear socks.  But I live in the Pacific Northwest and there comes a point where you really have to accept that it is cold. I was quite happy with my pumpkin harvest this year.  Here's a pic of the ones that made it onto the front porch

The colors inspired this bracelet. I named it Frost on the Pumpkin :)

October Skies

Friday was a day of such gorgeous skies from beginning to end. The rising sun outside my bedroom window

And that evening held this glorious rainbow

It ended with twinkling stars and wispy clouds and a perfect moon. Alas, I am not skilled enough to take a picture that would do it any kind of justice at all so...

Sunflowers

This is one of the sunflowers from the arrangements I made for a recent wedding reception. It was held in a local park, the weather was perfect and a good time was had by all. I tried to capture some of the beauty of these glorious flowers in this bracelet -

Doesn't really seem like it's been a whole year. I've sure learned a lot and on the whole it's been a great experience. I'm about to go back to work full time in the accounting world so we'll see how well I can keep up with the shop.
